3 tier mini gift box made from our origami octagon boxes!
Pam from our design team created this lovely 3 tier wedding cake/party cake gift box using three different sizes of our origami boxes in white.
The possibilities are endless with colors and embellishments. We will also be making these available in our new "gift shop" over the next few weeks in the event you would like to puchase instead of handcrafting yourself. These will be available in your choice of color combinations or the combinations we have created in photos. This adorable box has 3 compartments for very small gifts, although these boxes can be purchased in larger sizes which will allow you to increase in size for larger gifts.
You will need:
one mini white origami octagon box (full set, both top and bottom)
one small white origami octagon box (full set, both top and bottom)
one medium white origami octagon box (full set, both top and bottom)
3 strips lavender scalloped borders using lightweight paper or a string of mini beads/pearls for decorating around each layer
focal embellishment for the top of the cake (we used a quilled paper flower)
white glue
scissors
Each layer is created by gluing the top of one box to the bottom of the next box up. See photos for additional detail.
Once glued you can add your own creative touch or follow the sample in the photo. Pam designed this particular box very simple, making it easier for you to visualize additional embellishments.
In between each scallop you could also place a drop of dimensional paint to further decorate the faux cake.
